Barn Store Fareham
Brothers Michael and Roger Bazeley started their farming career at Southwick in 1952 with three in-calf heifers named Faith, Hope and Charity. Roger married a local lass, a neighbouring farmer’s daughter, so Jane and Martin have direct connections to four generations of Southwick Estate tenant farmers.
Martin joined the farming business in 1982, by which time it had expanded to more acres and more dairy cows. Barn Store was established in a large former dairy building in 2003 and expanded rapidly to other buildings on the same site meaning we can now offer storage for household items, business use and car and motorbike storage.
The Barn Store office is manned by Martin’s sister Jane who looks after the day to day office administration and reception. Roger, at 90 years of age, still comes into the office every morning to see what’s going on, hoping that one or other of his granddaughters may happen by with their own toddler-age children, Eva and Eli and identical twins Mia and Dalila.
